..Whilst at Bates i went to Leo Kottke, Robert Palmer ( he stunk ), Wendy Waldman ( great ! also in the chapel ), watched Genesis a lot ( a Bates group at the time ). Saw Genesis in Bassten @ Tufts ( Phil , Peter Gabriel & someone else_) , spun a lot of Maria Malduar vinyl (Wendy Waldman credits - Midnight at the Oasis ), played a lot of Dave Mason ( Feelin' Alright ) on the album that looked like p u k e.. always difficult to cue up...We played a group called ' The Outlaws ' constantly ; ' Green Grass and HIgh Tides," B 4 they got sued..The Dead was popular as was NRPS and a group called ' Old and In the Way .' saw the Paul Winter consort L I V E on the top of Caddilac Mt. Earth Day '78..then sk8boarded down..this is a week after they invented urethane wheels..uh. .not much else. Heard Prof. Marion Anderson..the music teacher ..play Bates' $20kUS harpsichord for the first time..went out and did watercolors with Andy Wyeth's subjects... lastly..during the blizzard of '77 - '78..we drove back from Cambridge with the int'l club and didn't get stuck...after watching Jimmy Cliff's ' The Harder They Come '..great soundtrack..
